Author Spotlight: LoRee Peery ( + GIVEAWAY)

Today I am excited to welcome author LoRee Peery for an author spotlight. Read through to the end to find out how you can enter her giveaway.

Please describe yourself with three words.

Victorious, empath, decisive

Do you have a dedicated place to write, or a nook or corner of a room, or the kitchen table?

I took over my son’s room to prevent him from moving back home a third time.

How did you get started writing?

A long time ago, in the mid-1980s, we were traveling back from vacation. Somewhere in western NE on I-80, I slapped a magazine in my lap and said, “I could write better than this.” My honey challenged, “Why don’t you?” I started with horrible short romances that I submitted without rewrites, and went on to do cathartic writing on the subject of my father’s unsolved homicide.

QUESTION FOR READERS: Repurposed is about body image. What are your thoughts on the subject?

(One reader who leaves a comment will receive a print copy of her book once it becomes available.)

    • Hey, Fishing Jan, haven’t we all? I think there’s some kind of gene in us women. I even saw a joke once about Eve traipsing in front of Adam wearing different sized leaves, asking if any made her appear bigger than others.

  1. I have a Granddaughter that always talking about her body and I always let her know she is as Beautiful on the outside as her Big Heart she has on the inside! I have always said I am the way I am! Thank you for this amazing post!

    • Sarah, I appreciate your encouragement. If your granddaughter is a reader, maybe something in Repurposed would speak to her. God can do amazing things, but it has to be done one-on-one with Him.
