Is Your Prose Choppy?

Is your prose choppy? I’m still learning and improving as a writer and this article is very helpful.

Choppy prose can be a story killer. If the prose doesn’t flow and the action doesn’t follow a logical pattern, a story can become tiresome or even confusing. Happily, there are fiction techniques available to avoid choppy prose.

One such technique involves sentence structure. Too often writers fall in love with their favorite type of sentence—a simple sentence with a single subject and verb, perhaps, or one with a participial phrase modifying the subject. Click here to read the rest of this informative article.
