Rewrite a fairy tale from the bad guy’s point of view.
I Had Red Riding Hood for Dinner
Once upon a time, there was a little girl who lived in the woods. This little girl had a cloak with a red hood, and she would pull the hood down over her face and run around the woods, scaring all the animals.
Finally, after many years of hiding from the little girl, the animals went to the Big Bad Wolf to ask for help. He was wise and kind, and often took in orphaned animals until a new home could be found for them. At least, that’s what he told the animals. Sometimes when they found a home for the orphans, the wolf couldn’t find them. A lot of the orphans ran away, it seems.
At any rate, the animals didn’t know what to do about this little girl. The Big Bad Wolf said he would invite her to his house for dinner and talk to her. The animals thought this was a good idea. So he invited her to come to his house for dinner.
When she stepped in his door, she pulled the hood down over her face and shook her cloak at him. “Boo! Hoo!”
The wolf just stood there. “Is that how you scare the animals?”
She raised her hood. “Yes. Aren’t you scared?”
He sneered at her. “I’m not sure. Do it again.”
She did, and he gobbled her up in a flash.
Later, when the animals came to tell the Big Bad Wolf that the little girl was nowhere to be seen, they found him lounging in front of the fireplace, his belly full. He just smiled at them and said, “She came for dinner.”
